Roma Marquinhos determined to stay at the club

In-demand Roma defender Marquinhos revealed he remains fully focused on fulfilling his duties at Roma, despite speculation linking him with a move away from Stadio Olympico.

The 19-year-old Brazilian has impressed the visiting scouts with his excellent performances last season and is the subject of interest of la Liga giants Barcelona and Real Madrid. Manchester City and Chelsea are also said to be closely monitoring the situation.

However the player admitted he is enjoying with his stay at Roma and has no plans of leaving the club in the near future. Marquinhos said: “I want to respect my deal with Roma. I still have four years on my contract and I don’t think about the market. It is normal that offers and rumours come in please me. But I leave it to my agents. I think only to play.”
