Simeone shortlisted for Chelsea job

According to Sunday Mirror Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich will make an approach for Atlético Madrid coach Diego Simeone after the contract of interim Rafa Benitez expires.

Diego Simeone has been doing a great job at the Vicente Calderón so far with his club occupying the second place in La Liga nine points behind the leaders Barcelona and four points ahead of the third-placed Real Madrid. Should the talks with their prime target Josep Guardiola reach the stalemate Chelsea will try to appoint the 42 year-old Argentinian.
